Properties of Nylon Cord

What are the characteristics of nylon cord we hear you thinking? Well here are a few for your consideration.

Nylon cord is extremely strong with a fantastic number of working properties. It has good strength to weight ratio, high breaking tenacity and excellent shock load absorption capabilities. You will notice that nylon cord often carries an associated number code e.g. No2, No10, which indicates cord thickness. In simple terms: the higher the number, the thicker and stronger the cord.

It is the strength of nylon that makes our cord range effective across a great range of applications, including: picture hanging, blind cords, crafts, pull cords, netting and so many more.

Our 16-strand braided nylon cords are UV, rot and mildew resistant with strong abrasion resistance. Nylon cord works equally well indoors and outdoors, and with moderate to high elongation, it definitely has the stretch factor.
