Sisal Twine

Our strong natural fibre sisal twine is made from the yarns of the sisal plant. Sisal makes a fantastic general purpose twine. It is available in spools and balls ranging from 140g to 4.2kg as standard.

Sisal is ideal for securing packets and parcels. The biodegradable string is also suitable for use in gardens.

Sisal is relatively expensive. If the high breaking strength is important, then polypropylene twine can be a good value alternative. Jute can also be used if the twine still has to be biodegradable. Unfortunately, jute doesn’t have the ‘hairy’ finish, allowing sisal to provide better grip.
